⏱️This edition of the National Account’s newsletter is a five-minute read.
👋 G’day everyone, Archie here.
Just a quick content warning: today’s newsletter deals with addiction and self harm.

It makes me sick because some tobacconists have it in their front window where pedestrians can walk by and it's these like yachts and women in bikinis, and I'm just thinking like this shit like nearly ruined my life.
🗣️ Why did he say that?
Sam Bramman is a recovered nitrous oxide addict from Sydney in his twenties. In an interview with the National Account, he spoke about how quickly the addiction took hold, what drug-induced psychosis felt like, the two months he spent in a psychiatric hospital, and the 18 months of antipsychotic medication that followed. He also told me about what he’s doing to stop nangs being sold at tobacconists and via delivery.

Landlords who claim they're selling can apply for an exemption to bring the property back to market before the mandatory six-month cooling-off period ends.
Tenants' Union of NSW CEO Leo Patterson Ross says that process isn't transparent enough to trust.
