Today I took a look at another moment in Australian history: the hijacking of Ansett Australia Flight 232.
Ansett Flight 232, flying from Adelaide to Alice Springs, was hijacked in 1972 by a man whose identity remained a mystery for months.
A police officer was shot trying to disarm him.
And the flight crew talked the hijacker into landing by secretly adjusting the fuel gauge.
How did police find out who the hijacker was?
