Cap the refund? 🚚
Australians will refund the 15 largest mining companies more than $2.2 billion in diesel tax this year.
Why? Because the government gives businesses a refund on fuel tax if their vehicles never use public roads, and mining companies are by far the biggest winners.
Do these mining companies need such a large hand out? or could they be incentivised to reduce their reliance on foreign owned diesel?
