Most of the beers at your local are owned by one of these two companies

VB, Tooheys, XXXX, Balter, 4 Pines and Stone and Wood all belong to either Asahi or Kirin.

The two companies control around 85 percent of the market and, according to independent brewers, use contracts to make it harder for smaller players to get on the taps at your local.
