The VNI West power line would link Victorian and NSW power grids, connecting wind and solar farms to the East Coast grid.

The Coalition and One Nation want to cancel it, and make up the power shortfalls with gas. The Grattan Institute says the gas alternative would leave Victorians paying more, not less.
