Better Victoria spent nearly $150,000 on ads across Facebook and Instagram, between July 22 and October 19, according to Meta’s Ad Library, ahead of next month’s Victorian election.
Public records show the secretary of Better Victoria is Ronald Holzer, a lawyer based in Melbourne.
On Thursday, I called to ask some questions, but he wouldn’t answer on the phone, insisting I send them by email.
Holzer said he only has an administrative role with the group, according to this report in the Guardian in September. The group says it isn’t a political party and has no relationship with any party.
I didn’t receive a reply from Holzer, but did from an unnamed spokesperson.
