The National Account has done a lot of reporting on gambling harm and reform in Australia, and for some time we have been trying to secure an interview with the minister who has the power to institute change.
Anika Wells - the minister for Communications and Sport - is that person. She is also in charge of the social media ban for under 16s.
After more than 1,000 days, Labor has finally released its response to a report recommending sweeping changes to gambling advertising, quietly dropping it hours before the budget.
Critics say the government didn't go anywhere near far enough.
